Introducing Procell Microchanneling

Updated: May 18

Over my years as a skin care specialist I have seen dozens of new treatments and have been rigorous in investigating their results before including them in my practise.

And I did just that when I heard about microchanneling. I have spent the last six months researching and training to use this innovative technique that produces significant improvements for acne, rosacea, and aging skin.

Microchanneling is not microneedling. It has the same results but with considerably less discomfort and more importantly, considerably less down time. A session typically takes 60-90 minutes and other than staying out of the sun for a day or so, and applying serums, there are no other restrictions on your daily life.

How does it work?

Precision micro-needles are tapped into the skin creating uniform micro-channels. A single pass over the face using the ProCell system will create hundreds of thousands of micro-channels.

Each micro-channel is surrounded by healthy tissue, which enhances the healing process. In response to each microinjury, an inflammatory healing process begins which initiates the formation of new collagen.

Over time, the repeated healing process will build new collagen, creating healthier skin, improving the surface texture and the overall appearance of the skin.

What does the process involve?

I will prepare your skin by disinfecting, cleansing and exfoliating. I will apply the microchanneling device to the area and then follow up with an application of growth factor serum and hydration mask.

One of my clients, Carol, wrote this account of the experience:

I had my first Procell microchanneling treatment with Lesley last week.  Numbing cream was used. The head of the pro cell gives a light zap and it was in no way uncomfortable. Lesley applied Procell serum after each application of micro channeling and sent me home with a hydrating masque. She explained that my skin might feel tight which is exactly what is supposed to happen. After the treatment my skin was a bit pink .  The next day I stayed out of the sun and made sure my skin was well hydrated with hyalauronic serum and a gentle moisturizer. The following day any redness was gone and my skin felt smooth and looked plumper.  It has only been a week and I have received very positive comments on my skin.  My next treatment will be in one month, and, on Lesley's recommendation I will use the Cellular Renewal/ Accelerator Serums. I feel there will be long term benefits, but right now I am enjoying the immediate improvement

How many treatments will I need?

Everyone's skin is different and the treatment plan will vary depending on your goals and the area you wish to address. Call me to book a consultation and we can discuss what will work best for you.
